Tignes is a brilliant glacial resort linked with a French premier resort, Val D’Isere. As a result it has a fantastic ski area and when combined with the Val D’Isere ski pass you have an area of 330km, which makes up the world famous “Espace Killy”. Tignes skiing pedigree is well known and documented as being high and glacial. It also has good early and late season snow, infact you can ski for 365 days a year on the “Grande Motte” glacier. Tignes is made up of a number of hubs spread along the Valley, the main one being Tignes Le Lac which is where most of our apartment accommodation and our Yeti Bar is located.
However we also have avaliable Tignes Val Claret, Tignes Lavachet and Tignes Brevieres where we have some superb chalets. Tignes is one of France's older purpose built resorts thus convenience is it’s number one priority, making access to lifts and the slopes excellent from all the locations.
The ski area itself will tick everyone’s boxes. For anyone with some experience in skiing we would seriously recommend the “Espace Killy” pass as there is incredible variety of pistes for you to explore. A little like Val Thorens you should expect to pay a little more for the privilege of using this flagship resort but you won’t be disappointed.
If you are looking for good nightlife then there are plenty bars and restaurants to keep you interested. The accommodation avaliable is mostly apartments located in a number of well situated residences, more suitable for clients wanting budget and mid range accommodation. However there are Chalet options down in Tignes Le Breviers. It’s going to cost you more but it’s a premier resort and as such its always going to be good.
