Lesson Information
PLEASE REMEMBER. It’s always cheaper to pre book your lessons rather than paying for them in resort, so take advantage of our incredible prices and packages and make sure you book in advance.
Wasteland Ski and Chalet Travel have always striven to give our clients the best possible service when it comes to providing lessons which is why we use the ESF – Ecole du Ski Francais. The ESF is the French National Ski School so they are nationally recognized as the people to learn with. Through the ESF we are confident that our clients will be afforded the quality of service that we expect and we also know that through the ESF our clients have access to the biggest variety of classes, the most English speaking instructors and the best possible prices. Rather like our equipment hire, it would not be unusual to find reductions of up to 50% on the standard resort prices from other suppliers.
To pre book your lessons just make sure you have ticked your preferred package when you go through the booking process. Alternatively if you haven’t pre booked it yet then let us know your requirements as soon as possible and we can add them into your booking details.
Having booked and paid for your lessons in advance, your choices will appear on your booking confirmation. Dependent upon the package you have chosen we will direct you to the nearest ESF office (usually on the morning after arrival) where their professional and fully qualified staff will help you.
General information for clients taking ski and snowboard lessons:
-Lessons are highly recommended for all levels whether you are a true beginner or an expert
-The lesson packages are through 10 hours. The number of days you do will vary from resort to resort but to give you an idea it would be either 5 x 2 hours or 4 x 2.5 hours.
-Lessons can take place in the morning or the afternoon; again this will vary from resort to resort.
-Lesson /group sizes will vary from resort to resort and will also be influenced by the holiday periods but you should expect classes to average no more than 10 – 15 people.
-Before you book you should determine your level from the list below. It should also be possible, if you find that the class standard is above or below your level, to change the class in resort.
-Skiiers and snowboarders whose standard is higher than the level of lessons we offer, should speak directly with the ESF in resort and potentially look at a private lesson.
